52 Weeks/12 Months: March - Our very own book!

I recently received a photo book I had ordered--it's a collection of last year's "Happy 10! Project". It turned out really well and I'm happy with the quality and it was a perfect subject for this month's submission to the 12 Months for Dogs group. I hope to do a full review of the photo book soon...

"weather has been crazy--just when we think spring has finally arrived, this weekend we're back in the 40's...sigh. Things are also quite hectic lately, making it more difficult to take photos. I hope things normalize soon..."

While going through boxes in the closet, I found some St. Paddy's stuff that I never used, so it was a perfect reason to do a quick photoshoot:

52 Weeks of Misty 2015: 11/52 - old school selfie

Submission for 11/52:

"I was given this vintage Polaroid as a gift a while ago and finally got around to playing with it this week, but for some reason, it won't fire after inserting the film cartridge...it blinked red for a brief second, so I figured maybe a dead battery. Well, looked everywhere for the battery compartment but didn't find one...hmm, what gives? Will have to do some googling later, but for now under a deadline, a little Photoshop work will have to do...bummer."

So, since then I've had a chance to look it up on Google, and it appears that the battery is built into the individual film cartridge...bit odd, but oh well. I was able to find replacement film on Amazon for about $23...a fun project for later!

52 Weeks of Misty 2015: 10/52 - taking it easy

Submission for 10/52:

"After all the excitement of her 11th Birthday last Sunday, Misty has been a bit slow all this week and she rested a lot. We hope to have her back to her normal energy level this week."

Happy 11th Birthday, Misty!

I am R-E-A-L-L-Y behind in posting...life is pretty hectic right now and I'm having to juggle many things and trying not to lose my head. I'm going to try to catch up and backdate several posts in the next few days, starting with Misty's 11th Birthday which was on March 1st.

This Birthday felt even more special than last year after all the health crisis that followed shortly after she turned 10. During the darkest days, we really weren't sure how things would turn out, but then she managed to pull through and is now doing very well and looking better than ever before! It was definitely a sobering experience, and we're now more aware of the time ticking and the "inevitable" that'll come someday. No one knows how long before the next "issue", but we are thankful for each and every day we have her healthy and happy!
